Den-Test is a unique venture based in the Center for Research and Education in Technology Evaluation at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Den-Test provides a university-based testing and evaluation program for dental manufacturers, distributors and laboratories.

There is a dilemma currently facing the dental industry. The dilemma is two-pronged: 1) dentists rely on results produced by a patchwork of testing organizations, operating in the absence of oversight by any accrediting body, and 2) decision-making by dentists about the purchase of a new product is guided by reports that are usually prepared without scientific rigor or oversight.

To solve this dilemma, Den-Test presents a new opportunity for dental manufacturing and distribution companies, as well as for dental laboratories. As the first center of its kind, we offer a rigorous program for the testing and evaluation of new dental products.
